Job Opportunity: Assistant Treasurer

Lackawaxen Township is seeking a qualified Assistant Treasurer to support the financial operations of the Township. This full-time position offers a salary plus benefits and a retirement plan. The position is available immediately. We are accepting resumes until June 12th.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with overall fiscal management and financial reporting

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and bill payments

  • Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain employee records and benefits

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor investments

  • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and cash flow projections

  • Coordinate with auditors and CPA to ensure compliance

  • Support Township meetings with financial documentation

  • Assist with grant reporting, insurance coordination, and recordkeeping

  • Provide financial oversight support to fire departments and EMS

Qualifications:

  • Strong accounting and financial management experience

  • Fluency in QuickBooks required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Position Requirements:

  • Attend monthly Township meetings

  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with regulations
